Dr. Dietmeier and the Dietmeier Orthodontics team have a few other tricks up their sleeves, which is why they may use a variety of specialty appliances along your treatment journey. Just more ways to get to your goal a little sooner – which we know you will appreciate.

Traditional braces

You know what these look like. They’re metal brackets that bond securely to your teeth, connected with a nickel-titanium wire (for strength!). The wires are held in place with ligatures or elastic bands, and – here’s the cool part – you can choose the color.

Clarity™ Clear braces

3M Clarity Clear braces are translucent ceramic brackets that are bonded to your teeth the same way traditional metal braces are. They are the perfect combination of strength and beauty for a more discreet treatment option.

Forsus springs

A Forsus appliance works with your braces to normalize and discrepancies between upper and lower jaws. By stimulating your lower jaw to grow at a more rapid pace, the appliance allows it to “catch up” with your upper jaw to create a stable, healthy bite and a more balanced facial profile.

Interarch bands

That’s a fancy name for specialized rubber bands that do really amazing things. Interarch bands correct misaligned bites and get your jaw in proper alignment. These will be on both sides of your mouth, configured specifically for you (because you’re worth it).

Quad helix

A quad helix is a fixed upper appliance that is attached to the molars by 2 bands with two or four active helix springs that help widen the arch of the mouth to make room for crowded teeth, or correct a posterior cross-bite.

There’s no time like the present, so if you’re ready to begin your active orthodontic treatment, we’ll schedule your first appointment during your initial consultation. This visit will generally last about an hour as we place your braces and new orthodontic appliances, review diet, hygiene, and any special care instructions. You’ll continue to visit our office every eight to ten weeks so we can monitor and refine your smile progression. Our convenient office hours and location make orthodontic appointments easy to fit into your schedule–and our team is always focused on making your visits enjoyable!
